Introduction

By far the easiest way to install and run SeqVISTA -- and the way we recommend -- is via Java Web Start. We think you will be pleased with how easy it is to download SeqVISTA and to be sure that you are using the latest version of the program.

On some computers (notably Linux and Macintosh [for which OSX is required]) there may be a few preliminary steps you must take before java web start will work smoothly. We have taken care to document these steps; you will find all the information you need here:

Note:

	When run SeqVISTA through Web Start, you will no long has an SeqVISTA button installed on your IE toolbar. If you like that feature, you have to download SeqVISTA and install it.
	There is no confliction between the local copy of SeqVISTA and the one started with Web Start. In other words, there are independent.
	For the SeqVISTA started by Web Start, the configuration file (SeqVISTA.cfg) will be put at your home directory.
